Spots before my eyes

Friday evening and after another glorious day five of us met at the car park at chale.
We were set up on the beach just gone 7.30pm. Nothing happened till dark, when one of the others had a turbot and a pout, I then landed another Turbot of around the pound mark.

The sky was clear and although the moon was only half full it was bright.
Two of the guys left at midnight but Mick, Paul and myself stuck it out.
Finally aound 2am the moon dissappeared and I started getting some tugs on one rod, whilst watching this the other one rattled then bent round hard, I struck and there was a good weight, and in came a spotted Ray, first of the year, these are a small species of ray, but going 4lb 5oz it was a new PB for me.

We stuck it out till gone 3.30am but with only the odd pout landed by Mick we called it a night.
