With a clear night forecast I headed off at 6pm to Seaview in search of those Bass again. Bait was Mackerel, Squid and Ragworm, usual rigs, 2 hook flapper and a 4/0 pennel, Had a little rattle on the flapper straight away, then nothing, by 11.30pm with it now raining heavy, they got that wrong, I headed off to the Toll rd, with the tide still out and the rain pouring down I decided to go back to East-Cowes to fish.Fished at the paddling pool end but nothing no bites, had an hour inside the harbour but to no avail despite using scratching rigs on both rods, in an attempt to get a bite. 10 hours in total, most of it in the rain, for nothing.Will have to have a rethink, possibly try the back next weekend.
