Saturday evening and it was the Island forum comp, we were set up for the start at 8pm.
It was a big tide and the tide was a long way out.
I was first in with a double shot of pout, soon after Mike had a 14oz Pollock and Mick then had a doggie of 1lb 13oz.
Things were quiet until again Mick got a classic Ray bite and after a good scrap landed a PB Undulate Ray of 13lb 11oz

One word of warning though, whilst trying to weigh it I had my hand too close to its mouth, and before I knew it my hand dissappeared inside its mouth, ripping the skin off a couple of fingers and my thumb, resulting in blood everywhere, and it stings like bugger today.
After that the moon came up and what bites we were getting stopped, though I did managed a consolation prize of this small Turbot, a new species for the year.
Mick again had a doggie of 1lb 6oz.
The comp ended at 1am, Mick First, Mike 2nd and I managed 3rd.
