How a week can make a difference

After last weeks success I decided to fish the same venues,on Friday, this time joined by Mick and Dan (dim09)
We arrived at the first venue and was set up by 8pm, worm on one sandeel or squid on the other. The sea was calm and the night was dark, and we were expectng plenty of Bass as the sea was alive with them the week before. But by 11.00pm I'd had the only fish a slug, so it was time to move to the 2nd venue.Arrived to find some guys already fishing but all they'd had was pout, still the ebb was the best part of the tide so we were hopeful. The Pout Started but little else showed we stayed till 4am I managed 6 pout Dan 2 and Mick a solitary Turbot, his first ever, so he was happy about that. But what a difference a week of easterlies can do.
