Last minute win
It was the Isle of wight forum's monthly comp, held at Shanklin Saturday.
Picked Nick up and arrived to find Big surf rolling in, looked bassy as hell.
Well set up and the comp started at 7.30pm there wasn't a lot of weed but what there was, was in the surf dragging the line down, had to wind in every 10 minutes to clear it.
Despite thick cloud keeping the moon from shining on the sea and a good surf the fish were just not there, I managed a couple of bites but the majority of the members hadn't even had that.
Finally with 45 minutes to go I get a good bite and in came a nice pollock of a pound exactly, and apart from a small turbot caught by another member that was the total catch of the night.
So another win for me.
