Saturday evening, headed off at 3pm for the toll rd to dig some lugworm, after an hour and half I had barely enough, for some reason they were really scarse.
Moved up the road to my usual spot and cast out by 5pm, one rig was a 6/0 pennel with whole squid and the other was a 2 hook flapper with rag and lug.
Within half an hour had a good take on the squid and in came a 2lb Bass.
I thought this looks good, but that was my last bite. By 7pm I was running out of beach so I moved to the Halland and fished off the wall. Had plenty of small bites on worm, catching several schoolies, a few pout and a 5 bearded rockling. Called ita night about 10pm as it was bloody cold in the North-easterly wind.
Suday evening went down and fished inside East-Cowes harbour, Schoolies were hitting the worm from the off and ended up with half a dozen in 3 hours. Did have a good take on whole squid but missed it.
