Conditions looked perfect for Bassing, so I had the usual running ledger close in with Squid and clipped down squid at distance on the other rod.
Bites were slow coming, Mick getting a few Doggie bites but unable to connect, finally I have a good pull round struck and felt a good weight, but it wasn't a Bass, in came a doggie well over 2lb.

An hour before high tide and there was still no sign of these Bass, then the weed started coming through, so a move to our other spot was called for.
Arrived and I stuck a whole squid out at distance and the other rod changed to a 2 hook flapper with ragworm, thought I'd have a play.
Well just gone 9pm I get a nice rattle on the worm rod then slack line, I wait and the fish th
I strike and it feels good, and in came my 2nd heaviest Sole of 2lb 1oz.
Weighed and photo taken I slipped her back to fight another day.
We fished on till 11.30pm, with work the following day I had to leave.
Another wet night but at least the wind had died down.
And another nice fish for my photo album.
